Welcombe Community Shop is run by a management committee which currently has six voting members all of whom live in the village. The committee has been formed from the Steering Group, which was appointed by a village meeting in April 2005, to investigate and facilitate the opening of a shop in the village. The committee is responsible for all matters concerning the everyday running of the shop, managing the finances and appointing staff. The committee is answerable to the shareholders. The committee meets approximately once every four months.
The
shop is staffed exclusively by volunteers.
