Our Funders

The Management Committee would like to acknowledge the essential contribution that has been made by our funders. Their financial support has been backed up by invaluable practical help and advice. They are:-

Devon Renaissance
50% intervention grant towards building construction and refurbishment costs,
Professional Fees, Consents, Licences, equipment, fixtures and fittings.
Big Lottery Fund
£4995 towards post office equipment, EPOS (the till), refrigeration and scales
Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
Grant to cover the cost of the part time manager for the first two years
Post Office
50% of building construction and refurbishment costs and of the cost of setting up the Post Office
Community Council for Devon £2,000 interest free loan to pay for opening stock
We are grateful to all our donors for a total of almost £1,000 which went towards the cost of setting up the Industrial and Provident Society, the remainder being necessary to make up the matched funding for the intervention grant.
£1110 to date; used towards the cost of the opening stock.

We would like to acknowledge the help and and advice we have received from Village Retail Services Association, – in particular, Dawn Eckhart and David Geeves. Thanks are also due to Frances Hill for her expertise in helping to secure the Esmée Fairbairn Grant.
